Ms. Emig
A little about me:
Hello! My name is Kristina Emig and this is my 4th year teaching at Scales! Four years ago I taught second grade, and then three years ago I began teaching in the SEALS program (Structured Education for Alternative Learning Styles) for students with autism and other communication disorders.
I am originally from northern California, but moved to Arizona 7 years ago to attend Arizona State University. In attending Arizona State, I obtained my Bachelors degree in Special Education. I am also certified to teach Elementary Education as well.
This year, I am looking forward to working with you and my instructional assistants as a team with your child. We plan to learn, grow, and have fun every day! This year, we will be working on communication, socialization, managing sensory issues, and, of course, academic skills! I really enjoy helping students reach their potential and look forward to coming to school each day for a new adventure with the kids!

What I expect from you:
* To call if you ever need anything: information, assistance or someone to listen.
* Please send a change of clothes with your child. It is also very important that your child comes to school with a backpack each day so we can send things home. We will help your child manage their backpack at school including any papers or lunch money to reduce the risk of misplacing it.
